About Me

hai! I'm brand new to couchsurf but I've heard only great things. I'd love to find that there are people out there genuinely into being good and letting new people in.

I'm a youngbuck that can't sit still, so after finishing up university in Baltimore I decided pack up my things and move across country to L. A. alone. Why? Because I like to think I thrive when I'm most uncomfortable or lacking security. Graduating was pretty anticlimactic, so as for what came next, I guess it wasn't about making the right move...just any move at all.

I've learned that in my very short life, I've really done nothing that scares me. I wanna find something, or really anything that can inspire me to better than I was yesterday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just landed a job, and while I'm searching for my own place, I've been relying on family and the kindness of their friends whenever they're so generous. I'm working hard to make it happen, so I'm trying to take the current struggle and turn it into a positive. I'd love to meet some real angelenos to show me a thing or too. It'd also be nice to learn from other people, maybe who have done what I'm doing now too.

The kindness of others and my trust in the universe is keeping me afloat.

I also want to make friends with people who can show me what L.A. is about...through food, beer, music, and art...and maybe inspire me a little so I've got some idea about life.

Interests

Live music.
Eating.
Being the go to person to respond to "what does this smell like to you?"
Silent discos and impromptu dance-offs.
Shenanigans and Tom Foolery.
People that say "Hey man" just as much as I do.
Good manners and firm handshakes.
Jamie gingers, hold the ginger.
Asking questions, getting more questions.
People that are just straight up kind and friendly for no apparent reason.

Music, Movies, and Books

Flume, Odesza, Thievery Corp, Gramatik, Tycho, Slow Magic, Incubus to name a few.

Midnight in Paris, Annie hall, Life Partners, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Full Metal Jacket, Short Term 12.

The Alchemist, The Last Girlfriend on Earth, Slaughterhouse Five.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Bonnaroo for a week alone, and amidst 100,000 people I came out with a lot of friends and learned that people are a lot better than we make them out to be.

I slept in a treehouse in the side of a mountain in Boracay.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some of the best dating nightmare stories you'll ever here.

I'm decent at profiling solely based on what's in your fridge.

I'd like to learn how to play the xylophone and/or make an electronic music beat and to longboard.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An obnoxious laugh, great ears for listening--someone who's really just down for the cause.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, France, Mexico, Philippines
