Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My apartment is open to you should you need a place to stay, a hot shower, or may be willing to try a spicy meal of my roommate's creation! We do our best to keep people entertained.

I believe Couchsurfing is about give and take - and I like to participate as much as I can as a host and hope that others will welcome me as a guest when the time comes :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a handful of lovely travelers this past winter and had a blast doing so! Lots of fun times and all extremely positive experiences.

My recent backpacking trip was my first time on the surfing side of things. I was able to stay with somebody I'd previously hosted myself, which was awesome, and meet a couple other amazing hosts who became great friends :) Nothing but good experiences with couchsurfing on both sides.

Interests

Music, movies, books, history, green things, old books, reading under trees, really old faded and smelly books, traveling, having a good beer, white chocolate, antiquity, sociology, genealogy, going for walks or a game of frisbee in the park, random and spontaneous adventures...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love such a wide variety of music it seems foolish to list artists or genres... huge fan of Umphrey's McGee - their shows are unbelievable. I've seen Evanescence and Tegan & Sara twice, both long-time favourites. Alt-J is my new love. Always open to new musical suggestions.

I collect old books, and love exploring used book stores. I'm an old soul at heart, and could spend an entire day surrounded by books, reading and drinking tea/coffee, or watching Downton Abbey with anyone who wants to :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunsets on the beach in Loutraki, Greece. Hiking Mt. Niesen in the Swiss Alps. Kissing the Blarney stone. Can't name just one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play some guitar, piano, and ukulele, basically all at beginner/intermediate level only, but I love teaching the basics to others or having a little jam session with friends. I make hemp jewellery and have started learning photography as well.

Definitely open to learning whatever you all have to teach :)
