ABOUT ME

I've discovered the irony that I only ever really have a good day when it starts out as a complete disaster. The best times I've ever had have started out with a (really) bad hair day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled around Eastern Europe and Turkey using Couch Surfing as an incredible way to interact with people in their own communities, get the best tips and insights from the locals themselves and to share the most amazing experiences along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a good number of couches from Czech Republic down to Turkey, some on purpose and some only on accident, it seems. Every experience has been more than amazing, and I cannot wait to be able to host people when I return to New York in a few weeks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The inner workings of a gypsy camp in Romania. Bought chocolate, juice, and cookies for the babies. In return, I was hassled for my shoes and camera. As perhaps an entry fee, a lovely woman read our palms (in exchange for one automated instant coffee from the sketchy bodega behind her). Apparently, I love to travel and will live to be 86. This is amazing.

Also - If anyone is interested in buying a large metal pot in which to distill plum brandy, I am supposed to have you contact them. It is unlikely that they have internet or telephone access from the gorge, but just in case, feel free to let me know.
