I'm a writer and student living in Flagstaff, Arizona. I grew up near Chicago and went to school in Wisconsin. I taught English in Mexico a for a while. I love Mexico; I think it's the best country there is. Currently, I'm in a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Northern Arizona University. I feel so lucky to be here. My goal in life is to be a good writer. I get to work on that everyday in this program. I mostly write nonfiction, but I'm trying to branch out into fiction.
Also, I have a dog named Linda. She's less of a pet and more of a partner in crime. I can't think of much else to write here. I want to know everything there is to know, and it makes me sad to think there isn't enough time to do that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think it's a great way to meet people and learn new things. I learn something from every person I've met on here. Currently, I'm writing a short story set in the Southwest, and I want to meet people through Couchsurfing who can tell me about their lives and experience in the Southwest to help me generate ideas for my story.

Interests

I like going to art museums, but I I have an easier time reading about an artist than actually looking at their art. I think my favorite thing to do is go for a walk in an unfamiliar place on a cool evening.
