ABOUT ME

We now live in Gallatin, TN about a 35 minute drive. We have been married since 2011 and have been foster parents for almost four years. We are currently not taking children into our home, taking a break. Jen is an Occupational Therapist and Idilio is currently a virtual Spanish High School teacher. We are working on a school bus conversion into an RV and hope to travel soon. Our "skoolie" is almost completed, missing just a few minor details and a paint job.

PHILOSOPHY

Our personal philosophy is the 3L's
LIVE our life full of adventures learning from everyone we meet in our life. Live a life that later in life we won't have any regrets. Live a life that we can be proud of so that one day we can have many stories to tell our future generations and continue to live a great life full of adventures with them as well.
LOVE each other every day and love everyone for who they are, think, and believe. We believe that love is always the way for happiness in everything in this life!
LAUGH! LAUGH! what can I say about this?????/ We believe that just as our bodies need nutrition to continue to function properly, our souls need LAUGHTER to continue functioning properly. We may not be great at telling jokes or doing funny things, but love to laugh whenever we find the opportunity.

We have hosted and surfed with several people that now have becomes great friends. Our couch is available too. We also have an empty bed in our extra room (normally the couch people find more comfortable)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the best! But we were very VERY disappointed with Australia's CS communities.... no one welcomed couples or men but other than that.... CS has given us SO MANY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES!

All of our experiences in Taipei, Bangkok, Beijing, South Korea, Bohol, Guam, Saipan were GREAT!!! I think CS is great! Many wonderful memories to share here but just ask....

Coyhaique people in Chile 2CS, right away reply and were great at giving advice and opening their homes) they were GREAT!

Intereses

Basics: running, hiking, dogs, cycling, camping, food, movies, soccer, ping pong.

We enjoy adventures that involve little to no money but more the free ones! ;) The world is your own GYM so lets get out and do something!

Música, películas y libros

Well our interests in movies, music and books really depends on who's perspective we are talking about. Books Jen really enjoys "big drama" real life novels from peoples experiences. I enjoy love novels, sci-fi adventures novels and inspirational stories. Movies... Comedy are the best!

Algo increíble que he hecho

During our days of dating (before marriage because we still date and will continue to) we bought a road tandem bike and decided to go on a 220 miles road trip to park for camping. Since we have two medium dogs we decided to buy a baby trailer and bring them in our adventure. Since it was our first ever distance trip on a bicycle we thought we needed a lot of stuff to bring. Our trailer was full with a lot of unnecessary things, and a ice cooler full with food and our two dogs! Ohh, sure was full of adventures since we navigated ourselves only by having paper and paper copies of the maps we were supposed to follow. Little did we knew that google maps doesn't keep up with all the updates of the roads and bridges! We encountered under construction and broken bridges along the way. It was very difficult to travel around and once felt very dangerous going over one inside DFW area where highways are enormous, but we still managed to do it and 'safely'. After a pair of days of riding and pulling our heavy baby cart we came upon some horrible gravel and dirt roads. Our tires were sure not meant to be outside the paved road since the tires were super thin. We got chased by some dogs and one time I lost control of the bicycle when I ran unto a big whole and we both fell to the ground while our dogs got out of their trailer and luckily they just hung out with those other dogs. Later on the trip, on our way back after camping and getting all rain out at the park and almost the whole way back we stopped at a gas station. It was almost five hours under the heavy rain and mud from the road. We were so hungry, tired and cold. Jen went inside a SUBWAY restaurant to buy something to eat and I wait out near the gas station entrance to wait out the heavy rainfall. As I waited for Jen to come back with food, I was exhausted and resting next to our tandem bike. Someone poked my shoulder and when I opened my eyes a woman handed me a 2O dollar bill and said "Here, so you can buy yourself something to eat" I was just shocked and was only able to say "Thank you". Then I realized that I was sitting next to my bike full of mud, all wet and dirty holding two wet and muddy dogs near my body for heat and simply looked like a homeless person in need. Jen came out of the store and I told her about what had just happened and she just started laughing so hard. We sure learned a lot from that trip, but the number one thing was the humor Jen finds in stuff that happens to me. Even after three years of marriage and traveling through many states in the USA and some Asian countries. She is crazy and loves making fun of me but maybe that's why we are madly in love with each other.

We also biked a small island south of S.Korea called Jeju Island and I can honestly say there's another story to tell. At the end of our teaching contract we decided to bike 633 kilometers with our bags and things we were bringing to Chile. The whole ride was another great adventure and you can check a glimpse of the sceneries we travel through at our fb page. We had a lot of fun and maybe we can talk about it if we meet.
