About Me

I currently live in Fort st John. i work in the Fort St John Hospital and have time off from time to time. I have changed a lot in the last few years as we all keep getting older. I have a fiance who I have been with for four years and we live together. She is also a nurse.

I have lived through many different experiences and many worldviews. I am pretty open-minded and like to talk to sincere and honest people, but I am not interested in the type of person who thinks that their ideas, beliefs, or way of life is best.

I am very direct. I prefer to deal with people who are able to tell us exactly what they expect from us, but we also know to try to err on the side of respect and be cautious in taking any liberties.

I spent almost six months in Brazil total in Rio de Janeiro. I travelled to the Philippines with my family. I had a great time in both places. These fantastic experiences have taught me both how much the world has to offer, but also reminded me of the value of family as I got to see family dynamics very different to what I was ever exposed to in my own country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It would be nice to take my fiance to places far far away without bankrupting us. I am excited to meet new people and get to know strangers from elsewhere. I know i am not shy at all and would love to get to know you :)

I am happy to include you in our travel plans if you so wish, but I also know that this might make you uncomfortable. We try to plan our trips ahead of time, so that we do not stink up your couch too much :P, but we are always happy to make new plans and be spontaneous

We know that meeting new people is so easy through couch surfing. This is a big reason we are here. It's usually the locals that know where the cool spots are. Having this extra bonus network is just awesome.

What I am NOT here for: Bar life, dating, abusing my hosts.

Interests

I tend to be the type of person who learns easily. I am best with sciences, politics, learning languages and communicating ideas, and well, getting shit done. My fiance likes animals, kids, talking about relationships... She is pretty girly overall. She also likes to learn and is open to seeing and doing new things. She has had a very different life than the average couch surfer and I am just excited to be able to share this world with her. If you can be part of that, we will both be very grateful.

We both enjoy playing sports, staying active, and being outside. We are currently practicing ice skating so that I can play ice hockey and she can finally learn to be an expert skater. She might join for some hockey too though.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh god, Right now we are watching Narcos. It's not bad. Im watching it because I like Wagner Moura and it has good Spanish dialogue and subtitles. But its a good show and I like the storyline.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survive & Thrive. Isn't that all any of us could ask for?

We can talk about this one in person. I don't like to talk about these things in a public forum too much. haha

Teach, Learn, Share

there is a lot of winter activities to do for cheap.

We can show you around if we have time.

Whatever else you want, within reason.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basically be a good guest.

We can talk about British Columbia. We have spent a lot of time on and in Vancouver Island, Vancouver metro, Northern BC, and some time towards the Southern part of BC.

I have spent a lot of time reading and learning about the politics and economy of BC.

I have a good knowledge of Science Fiction, Science in general, psych, etc. That being said, I am just as happy to talk about your life and your world. We can listen we can share. Either way is fine.

I have no problem speaking English the whole time if that is what our hosts would like.

We are happy to accompany you or leave you alone. Up to you.

We are happy to one day host you. We plan to move back down to Metro Vancouver eventually anyways.

We will leave a positive reference. We understand if your home is not perfectly clean or things like that. We are not snobs (I think ? ) :P
