About Me

Ex-traveller trying to make it in a post globalised world mindset. I'm working to save money not to travel more, but to bring more travellers here. I love my hometown and I am determined to make it better for everybody. I hope one day I can start a business that everyone can take part in to promote the diverse and budding local economy. I've only travelled to 30 countries but I think that's enough. I couldn't bear to take it any further. So now I work towards starting a business, and nurturing tourism to link the world through genuine human connections, and not politics or ideologies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has shaped my worldview and constantly refreshes my faith in humanity. To be a part of a truly global community hell-bent on helping people brings me the utmost joy.

I have hosted travelers, met people and inspired them to use couchsurfing, and done the dishes for a number of hosts. I also love attending meetups all over the world!

I love hosting people and I love surfing all over the world, meeting all kinds of people. I also love it when hosts bring over their friends or family!

Interests

Coffee has not only brought our civilisation out of the dark ages, it has brought me out of the dark ages, and even triggered an enlightenment in me. Coffee literally sparked my new career path.

Beer is tasty and goes well in social situations. Ask me where the best beer in town is.

I am brutally critical of politics and ideologies, and incredibly involved in philosophy and more recently entrepreneurship.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy thrilling and engaging masterpieces. Documentaries and cerebral movies, the kind that make you think.

For music I listen to everything from alt-rock and punk to the absolute most soul crushing psycho death metal.

Books of the non-fiction variety or somewhat provocative themes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled 30 countries
Hitch hiked ~35,000 km

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm in no position to teach. However, I can get into some pretty engaging dialogue. If you have anything you would like to discuss openly, I will discuss it forthrightly, and we can both learn a thing or two.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a couch, but I can also offer an ear for your stories.
