ABOUT ME

Easy going, honest, helpful, friendly and adventursome. I am retired from the fire department and plan to travel starting in 2013. I thought I would offer my couch to help out people who are trying to save a buck or two. In 1984 my wife and I traveled around Europe and we met people along the way that let us stay with them and those were some of the best part of the whole travel experience.

I love an adventure, I worked in Crete, Greece for 6 years and hope to spend more time there. Learning the Greek culture was the most incredible experience. What a giving and friendly culture. I enjoy hiking and exploring new places. I like most sports and games and having a doughnut and coffee in the morning. I like working out in the yard.

I like the 70's music, John Denver, Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkel and lately I found Jason Mraz who I like. I like almost any movie except the horror shows.

Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Santorini when you are pulling up to the red cliffs with the white houses on the rim and the deepest blue water. Kayaking on Crete's beaches. White water rafting. Cycling from Portland to L.A. down the coast.
