About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have a great interest in experiencing and learning other cultures.

ABOUT ME

The past year I haven't don't a lot of hosting because I have traveled a lot, but now I am back in San Luis Obispo, living with my girlfriend. We enjoy meeting travelers and are available to host or meet up if you are traveling through the area.

I enjoy traveling and seeing new places and people. When I get free time, I am looking for something to do outdoors or hanging out with friends. I really like to have fun or do exciting things and not sit around the house. I play football (soccer) a couple times a week and enjoy watching games when I can.

When I'm traveling I want to experience what the locals do. I'm always interested in seeing any major attractions or museums, but don't want to spend my whole day being a tourist. I prefer seeing the world in a host's eyes.

PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy as a subject is a particular favorite of mine. I really enjoy a good conversation on this subject.

I'm pretty open minded and always seeking to understand what others are going through, my personal philosophy has changed over the past 10 years quite a bit because of this. I am always interested in hearing a new perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've mostly been a host for couch surfing; I have done some surfing and enjoy it just as much. I enjoy hosting people almost as much as traveling because I get to see other cultures in my own home. It is something that I really enjoy and feel like I get a small vacation to another place when I host someone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is such a blast. You get to meet the coolest people from around the world and share so many awesome stories and culture. I always enjoy the experiences I get. I have learned so much from CouchSurfing through all the amazing people I have met, and the encounters with all the great people are priceless.

Interests

I enjoy being outdoors, football (the kind with your feet), softball, running, biking, wine tasting, hanging out with friends, learning languages, and traveling as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of classic books right now and have been reading documentaries recently. As far as music, I really enjoy just about everything and I look forward to hearing music from other surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to move to California a couple years ago and it has been an awesome time. The amazing part is that my office has an ocean view and the sunsets there are incredible. I never thought the move would be as great as it turned out. It has made me want to move to a new place to explore and I can't wait to see where I end up next.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always interested in learning new words in foreign languages. When you stay with me I'll probably ask you to teach me a couple words or practice what I already know. I also enjoy learning about the music and movies from other cultures.

For me, I am happy to teach or share anything I can about the local area, where I have lived, traveled, etc. I usually find myself showing CouchSurfers my local town and all it has to offer.
