Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life, make friends and sail around the world.
ABOUT ME
I love to travel, see new places, meet new people. I lived in a tipi for two years while I hand built(with my draft horse) my log cabin in the mountains. I lived there for 10+ years without electricity or running water, I now have solar power I installed myself. I do all kinds of Art: paint, write, wood carve totem poles (I am a small part Native American), film, documentaries. I am just about finished writing a 150,000 word travel/adventure book about a year I spend exploring North America. When I am done, I want to buy a 35-42 foot sailboat and spend a couple of years sailing around the world. Anyone want to surf a couch on the sea? Maybe in the Mediterranean, or off some Pacific Island?
PHILOSOPHY
Karma, baby, Karma. Leave the planet better than you found it. Low impact. Be kind. Smile. Should I go on? Maybe later.
Everything in moderation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a LOT. Maybe too much. A few books - Desert Solitaire, Edward Abby (SE Utah, travel, personal), Robyn Davidson (solo camel trek across Australia).
Music - Luscious Jackson, Morphine, world music.
Movies - Amalie (favorite), foreign films. Ill think of 10 more when Im trying to get to sleep.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitch hiked 7,000+- miles around Australia and New Zealand, equivalent to a quarter of the way around the world. If my first book works out, this will be the subject of my second book.
Teach, Learn, Share
I homesteaded for 10 years - logged with horses, hand built my own log cabin, grew organic food, canned food, made furniture, lived on very little money, no electricity for the last 20 +- years.
I put in my own solar power system last year, cost under $ 2,000. Would like to learn about wind and hydro power.
I would like to learn marine mechanics and electronics, so I can fix my own (future) sailboat.
I used to build wooden boats, and am a good sailor.
I have worked a lot with breeding and training of horses - for riding, sleigh and logging.
There are a lot of other things I would like to learn. Like how to spell.
