Hi, I’m Jon and I live with my fiancé Simon. I’m Polish and he's Italian but we lived in the UK for over 18 years. We’re not party animals but we like eating out and having a few drinks or coffee in one of the charming bars and coffee shops in the city. We’re basically a couple of normal easy going guys. We love meeting new people and look forward to hosting you.

If you’re a guest in our home we want you to feel comfortable and we’d like the same in exchange. We are happy to hang out most of the time but sometimes we may need to work even late into the night as we work from home.

We don’t smoke but we do vape and if you’re a smoker you’re welcome to use the back garden.

We have a dog named Olaf, he’s part of the family and therefore you’ll be his guest too. He’s allowed to stay wherever he likes and do whatever he likes although he’s a good boy.

We're happy for you to use the kitchen if you'd like to cook something for yourself as long as you clean after yourself and leave it as you found it. Same with the bathroom, please leave it clean and tidy as we like to keep it.

We will be happy to go out together for a drink or coffee but we assume that you have organised your time independently and be doing your things. Our working hours are usually between 10am and 7pm.

And lastly - we are gay, so if you're not comfortable with that please don't contact me. It's important for me to know that you've read the full profile before getting in touch so when you send me a message please start it with the word Meraki.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

We are both very sociable despite being an introvert (me) - extrovert combo.

We like socialising and meeting new people - one can never have too many friends! We like cinema, drinks, eating out just as well as a quiet evening at home with a bottle of wine, some good food and a movie.

We are both very much into horror films, fantasy, sci fi, but we also like comedy and drama. We love to cook, bake, make pottery and study herbs. We like to read a lot and we love music. Truth be told he doesn't like my music and I don't like his but that's what headphones are for I suppose :-)
