About Me

I am a lecturer at a Thai university in Bangkok.

Carpe diem!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I Surf: Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people and places. An urban landscape may be stunning to the eye, but the true flavor of a place is in the lives of the people that call it home. I want to see places through their eyes!

When I Host: When a car is passing a tree, the car is moving and the tree is standing still. Yet, from the perspective of the car it is the tree that is moving. If I imagine that I am the tree, I can stay in my place and travel by hosting couch surfers. Stories, people and travel experiences come right to my door, all I have to do is wait.

---

I've surfed with people whose generosity have truly inspired me, and I've shared my home with individuals who have forever changed my life. Who could ask for more?

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: Groundhog Day - Book: Zen Flesh, Zen Bones (http://terebess.hu/zen/101ZenStones.pdf)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked to the top of an active volcano in Guatemala, held a t-rex bone in Laos, participated in Thailand’s Songkran water festival, participated in Winter Carnival in Canada, seen North Korea, learned to play the djumba on the streets of South Africa, rode a camel in Israel and stayed in a Bedouin tent in the middle of the Judean desert. I have visited countless pagodas, temples, wats, stupas, synagogues, churches, mosks, monasteries, and shrines. I have eaten at countless open, night, morning, and floating markets.

Everything is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me your food, your language, your music, your culture, your customs! Teach me any musical instruments you might play, or anything else you might know! Teach me anything you can, I love learning! And I can return the favor

I live my life as if every second and every inch counts; for me, there's just no other way to live. The small details in life add up, and they make all the difference.

Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to teach, connect with people from different backgrounds, and create community through group experiences. I suppose that is why teaching EFL is such a perfect fit for me. Teaching EFL inspires and motivates me to expand my worldview, and deepen my understanding of the people around me.

Learn, teach, share, and appreciate.
