CURRENT MISSION

To have one of my photos on the cover of National Geographic or comparable magazine. I did just get an article published in the Blue Beret Airstream magazine in November.

ABOUT ME

Teacher, traveler, inquisitive one, explorer, photographer, hands on kind of person. Age is not a factor. You don't get old until you stop trying and doing. I'm a Sagittarius and fit the description perfectly (even though I am not "into" the horoscope stuff.) I can be serious, some say I am cynical, I call it "dry humor". I love my Apple stuff too. Not a geek but I have all the gadgets.

I've visited 50 states and 40 + countries so far! Don't stop 'til I drop.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting surfers since I joined. Always respond and if I'm home, host. I really enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. I've only surfed once, so far, but that one experience put it all in perspective of how Couchsurfing is an opportunity not to miss.

Interests

Anything outdoors. Little slows me down. I enjoy travel, camping, reading, movies, sailing, music of most types, food, there are few things I don't like. And I'm always willing to try anything new. Photography is my hobby and my travels allow me to pursue that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Thrillers, both books and movies, classic rock and roll, country, new age, some pop, some dance music (have to keep up with the kids). I love classic movies, and watch the new ones too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to so many places that are exceptional it is hard to name one. But Alaska took my breath away! And sky diving (once).

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach to travel, I travel to learn. I have been fortunate enough to be chosen for two teacher exchanges: Japan and England for a year each. Since then I have hosted numerous guests from both countries. It's all about the relationships we develop. Retired now and loving it!!! I can go anytime, anywhere.
