ABOUT ME
Wife and mom of two, Henry (6) and Thora (4). Adam and I are both friendly and laid-back, yet try to keep a clean home and love to be active, go camping, biking, hiking, and visiting all the anchorage playgrounds and breweries.
We look forward to introducing our children to other people and cultures, thus the reason I LOVE the CS community, that's what it's all about!
Adam is new to CS since he's never surfed, he has just helped me host surfers. We get many couch requests, sometimes at least one everyday. If you would like to surf with us, please send a couch request and not a message. Also, put the following in your request somewhere "I read your profile and would love to meet you, Adam, and understand you have young kids and pets in your home and that it would be very difficult to be without a car”.

*Hiked the Kanching waterfalls in Malaysia with 15 CSers!

*Hosted Marta and David Vizcaino, and their two children (Max 2yrs and Lucia 6yrs) of Spain, for 5 nights in Anchorage.

*Raul picked us up at the airport and gave us a wonderful tour of El Salvador during our 10hr layover

*4 nights with Joel Mendoza of Leticia, Colombia as our guide on the Amazon river for our honeymoon

*Hosted Sora Leah (Susan) of Long Island/Florida at our home in Anchorage for 3 nights and then she house-sat/pet-sat for us for an additional week while we were out of state for a wedding!

*Hosted Lauren Legrismith and her husband Alex, of Heely, Alaska for two nights in our Anchorage home.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Following 3 wild orangutans in the Bornean jungle for 6 hours and sitting beneath them as they made their nests for the night. Amazing!

Volunteered taking care of orphaned gorillas and chimpanzees in Cameroon for 4 months (2 different sanctuaries). Had my own chimp to care for for 6 weeks, Lola, that had to sleep in my bed every night :)

My husband and I can offer you your own clean room and private bathroom too. The bed is a bunk bed, full on the bottom and a twin on top. we also have a pack n’ play for a small child. Our house is your house. Feel free to use the kitchen, our BBQ grill, or hangout on the back deck.
From our house you have lots of access to tons of hiking/biking/cc ski trails. We have 2 small children and two cats. The location of our house is best if you have a car!
(We’re also interested in doing a potential house-swap if you live somewhere we’re wanting to visit, on that case would include a car)
