Hi, I am Nel.

💓 I am outgoing, open-minded and like exploring places, meeting new people, trying new things and making wonderful memories. I enjoy getting to know people and learning about their cultures and traditions and what makes them "tick" 😊.

🍁 I am a strong believer in "paying it forward" and it brings me great joy to be able to help others. I have spent many years volunteering in various capacities because of this. I especially enjoy helping people with their English.🍁

🛅 Travelling has always beckoned me but not always easy to do when raising a family. Now that my children are older, and pretty much self sufficient, I want to see more of our amazing planet 🌎! While I like travelling with my husband and children, I find solo tripping enables a more immersive and enriching experience.😊

🧳I started my solo adventures in 2023 and had a wonderful time exploring Mexico. Afterwards I ventured East with the hopes of travelling throughout Asia. Unfortunately, I broke my leg and had to return home for surgery🏯

🌏 Now in 2024, my leg is better so I am eager to continue with my travels! I recently concluded an amazing trip in India… many wonderful memories. 🛩🗺🌍🚗🚎🚂

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy adventures and exploring different places to meet people and learn about their country and culture. We live in this amazing world with so much diversity and it would be so wonderful to learn as much as I can about it. It would be fantastic to travel to various corners of the world and experience what it would be like to live there. I hope to meet like minded individuals with whom I can spend time with and perhaps even travel together. 💓
