I'm a 55 year "young" woman whom most often (and quite proudly) uses one term to describe myself, "grandmother". I currently live in and own my family home; which could be described as "old school" (I wash dishes by hand, still have carpets, and have yet to install a garbage disposal! No worries, I do have central heat & air, inside plumbing, cable tv & internet/wifi! Lol) I'm hoping to begin doing some of the traveling my vagabond soul has always craved and would enjoy being a host(ess) to anyone venturing near and in need of a safe, "homey" place to stay (I'm well protected via many loving sources).

Finally getting around to "leaving the nest", "my own" nest (no, I am not "still living with my parents"!!), seeing what life is like outside of my old hometown and hopefully in the process meeting new people and making new friends;-D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

??!! Amazing? {I don't consider the following as "amazing", it's humane and should be a given for all of us. But considering the massive amounts of donations that are donated to non-profits that fail to reach their intended uses and that there are those of us who "somehow" manage to serve hundreds without help.., after an outreach event (privately hosted) we are always "amazed" with what we accomplish.} Sooo.., Its ?"amazing"? that I, and those like me, have continued to provide "Private"* outreach services (food, clothing, program references, gen medical help/supplies, etc.) for our local homeless community actively for last four+ years. (*private meaning without assistance of non-profits or business donations). Eeschk! Sorry for how poorly written "that" was! I'm trying to hurry through this part of my profile as it's not my forte:-(.
