ABOUT ME

I'm a trauma informed specialist teacher and I love my job despite being exhausting. I am really into most things fitness related, I am the friend who is adventurous and will try anything, usually saying yes before I know what I've signed up for.

PHILOSOPHY

Kindness always. I believe this is the way to change the world. Withholding judgement and offering kindness. The world is hard enough as it is and I'd rather find connection with others than difference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a lot of people and have really enjoyed hearing about the experiences of travellers from all around the world. I also experienced old school couchsurfing (pre app) meeting friends of friends of friends in my travels through India.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests and am that one friend that is always up for an adventure into the unknown. I'll say yes before I know what I've signed up. I love the bush, nature and being outdoors in almost all capacities. I also love having a cosy at home day, with coffee and a book. I like to write, play games, paint, cook, gym and meditate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love new metal! I frequently go to metal concerts (architects, sleep token, Amity Affliction, Polaris, thousand below, caskets, holding absence, breathe atlantis, we came as romans, resolve, fire from the gods, I prevail, pierce the veil). I usually read fiction (Neil Gaiman Garth Nix)
I'm into rom coms at the moment but always love random indie movies (as long as they aren't horror)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I created the first strontium isoscape of Eastern Australia!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn, almost anything and everything as well as share any knowledge I do have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my home and my belongings. I have a car and two motorbikes and two bicycles to share. I'm a keen adventurer and always welcome people along with me if they are interested. I go to the gym or exercise in some form everyday, I like to spend time in nature, watching sunsets or just walking and I know a lot of beautiful places in and around Canberra. I work and study so sadly I don't have much time but am willing to help out with lifts, company whenever I can.
