I love meeting outgoing, warm, and open-minded people from around the world and hearing their stories.
I am a very easy, low-maintenance guest.
I love good conversation, sharing different perspectives, and learning about different cultures, but I also like to have alone time, too.
Any place with a loving pet is a place I call home - I love all animals unreservedly and indiscriminately.
All I ask in a host is cleanliness and respect, and I will always provide that in return.
I love singing, loudly, and I'm not too bad at it.
For each new country I visit, I collect one elephant figurine and one beautiful painting to remember my trip.
I can't turn down a dare.
I love good food. I'll try anything and everything.
I listen to at least one song of the Beatles every day.
My favorite things include reading, running, music concerts, hablando español, solving murder mysteries, Broadway musicals, New York Times cartoons, costume parties, getting lost in new places, all outdoorsy stuff, and taking pictures of my crazy cat, Zusi.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've only couchsurfed once, but I use the community page often to meet people in my city. I've participated in conversation clubs, excursions, sports teams, and other events and activities through Couchsurfing. I love the idea of communities interacting directly with travelers, and I'm excited to open my home to guests when I return to the States.

I met President Barack Obama in the East Room of the White House and it was the proudest moment of my life.
I saw 17 shooting stars in one night when I camped with my family in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
I went skydiving over Buenos Aires, Argentina and horseback riding through the Andes.

Right now I am working with the United States and Brazilian governments as part of an initiative to teach English in Brazil. I work with Ingles sem Fronteiras at UFSC in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. I studied Spanish, Economics, and Latin American studies at the University of Alabama.
