About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Take every risk. Drop every fear...Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
ABOUT ME
I recently returned to the states after spending a year living in Australia (9 months in Adelaide & 3 months traveling). It was my first major international trip, and I absolutely loved every second of it! I've already started planning for a lengthy Europe trip, hopefully leaving again within a year - Staying in one place just seems so boring now!
I like to try new things (even if it goes terribly, I like to think of it as a "learning experience".) I'm a very chill, laid back, go-with-the-flow type of person. The best things seem to happen when you don't intend on it, they just pop up. I'm always up to have fun and can get along with almost anyone.
I like to laugh and act like an idiot sometimes (actually most times), without caring what anyone else thinks. I also enjoy finding other people who have this same philosophy to join in on the random-osity, because why not? :)
However, I can get bored quite easily if things start to get really repetitive, so I like to mix it up and try new things I wouldn't normally do (although there isn't much in that category).
I recently have gotten into photography. I love being able to see things from different perspectives and can appreciate others that do as well. Although I may not know quite what I'm doing yet, I enjoy learning along the way!
Even though I'm terrified, I WILL go skydiving hopefully somewhere in the near future. I'd also like to get in a few bungee jumps as well!
I can't wait to continue traveling and discover what new adventure is waiting for me just around the corner...

PHILOSOPHY
Don't take life too seriously. Have fun while you can!
And make the most of a bad situation :)
"If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives."
Collect moments, not things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I found out about couchsurfing from a mate when I was living in Aus, and he made it sound amazing! I stayed with about 8 different hosts along the way from Melbourne to Cairns and had such great experiences, that without couchsurfing never would have happened! While staying at hostels has resulted in more than a few crazy & fun nights, there's also nothing quite like having someone take you out to their local pub! CS'ers are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever met! Even though I only have a couple references/reviews, I can't wait to continue to travel and add more lovely people to the growing list.
Interests
Yoga, outdoor activities, anything that has to do with animals, learning how to play guitar at the moment, spending time with friends, going out to the bars - which usually involves quite a bit of dancing...and anything that involves a smile and a laugh!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the funnest - yes I know it's not actually a word :)- things I've ever done was climbing up and then sliding down massive waterfalls in the Dominican Republic - even though looking back, it probably wasn't the safest thing, oh well!
I almost cancelled a scuba diving trip at the Great Barrier Reef due to being skint broke, but I found a way to make it work. I'm so glad I did because it really was one of the most beautiful & amazing things I have ever done, and I can't wait to go back again someday!
