About Me

Hey y’all, I’m Kristen or Kris for short!
After recently graduating college with a major in Sociology and Women’s & Gender Studies, I have found my passion for empowering humans through boudoir photography which is an empowering form of art. I’ve been empowered to create a safe place for people to explore their own sexuality, beauty and to embrace themselves for who they are, full heartedly. Watching people transform before and after an empowering shoot has been such a beautiful experience for me. I’m extremely thankful to be a part of one’s self-love journey and to create such a memorable experience for them.

PHILOSOPHY
~if not me, then who? If not now, then when?
~get comfortable being uncomfortable
~it’s not about the place, it’s about the people in the place

ABOUT MY HOME. PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT INFO!***
If you treat me like a hotel or a copy and paste request, chances are that I won't respond. I'm all for community and getting to know my Surfers! Sometimes, I host multiple CS-ers at a time but it doesn’t happen all that often. I will let all my CS-ers know ahead of time.

I am a vegetarian- however, you are welcome to bring meat into my home if you feel the need. Otherwise, I usually have plenty of food to share with you.

also! There’s a pool at my apartment that will be open from late May until the end of August.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CouchSurfing is an amazing concept that was created. I love meeting new people and connecting with one another. I also love living like locals to really get the full experience of traveling. I've helped organize our local CouchCrash here in Omaha and I've loved every bit of it, especially when we brought everyone together in one room and went around the circle to share their life. To be so vulnerable in a group setting with 'strangers' was such a beautiful experience for many and myself included. I've also attended nation-wide CouchCrashes in which I had the best times at! Couch Crashes are definitely where I have the most fun and meet the best people. I am active with hosting Surfers as well as attending local meetups. I am beyond grateful for CS; it truly has brought me the kindest people that I can genuinely call my true lifelong friends. CS has positively changed my life for the better and I am always finding new ways to give back to the CS community. CS means the 'world' to me and I take it very seriously when it comes to community and connection :)

I enjoy jet skiing, hiking (at my own pace), cute picnics, swimming, nature, meditating, traveling, visiting cruelty-free animal farms + alpaca farm, karaoke, and meeting new people, food, and cultures. I also enjoy kinky things like strip clubs, & burlesque shows

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with a whale shark in the Philippines.
I got famous in India once upon a time! (Thanks Varun)
I’ve had my professional photos of boudoir published in several magazines!
A monkey jumped on my head in Morocco and I think it made my life complete! Hahaha
An alpaca kissed me in Peru🥹 and also, I somehow survived a food poisoning extravaganza in Peru as well
Faced my fear and learned to ice skate thanks to my dear friends Nick & Min🫶
During a Patagonia tour, I wanted to take my shirt off for a quick pic, the tour guide said no then changed her mind. I took my shirt off and then I looked behind me and entire tour was lined up guarding me so no one can see. Then I looked again and many people had their shirt off as well. It was the best trend I’ve ever started!

Speaking of shirts off. I quit my job, took my company shirt off and threw it in the air (my coworker caught it). Most liberating way to quit a job.. shirtless!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share memories with you and show you a great time in my city. If you enjoy deep conversations about life and sociology based topics, I will definitely partake in that with you! I can teach you a thing or two about these subjects. Honestly, I love to talk about anything and everything with people. I am a very social person once I warm up to you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share great conversation, stories, my couch, my car, food, and good company! If I'm free, I'm always down to hang out in my apt or go out into the town!
