About Me

CURRENT MISSION

killing time...

ABOUT ME

the fibres give in to your starry warmth
a lamp is called green and sees
carefully stepping into a season of fever
the wind has swept the rivers' magic
and i've perforated the nerve
by the clear frozen lake
has snapped the sabre
but the dance round terrace tables
shuts in the shock of the marble shudder
new sober

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think there could ever be a clear definition of life. So I just "let it flow". Something like that I suppose :

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, sometimes be hosted, meet people, sometimes eat people, and so on...

NOTE: These days (years? I hope not...) I'm writing multiple articles, especially during the day, so please excuse me if I can't hang out with you during the day. But it doesn't mean I won't have a beer with you in the evening!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hosted tens of people, will be hosting more... i'm quite fond of meeting new people.

Interests

music, internet, swimming, some pc games, looking for ways to have long-term visas [solved that one for good], failing in that, conversations, friends, more friends, cultures, different cultures, more different cultures...

  • culture
  • running
  • traveling
  • socializing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music? Depends, really. One could basically see me listening to Balkan Folk one day and Swedish Black Metal the other... I haven't been a good music listener in the last few years though... But I'm trying to play blues these days with my guitar, without being a good blues listener... I'll see how this turns out...

And books... hmm... Nothing interesting actually... I read theories of language acquisition quite a lot, and about linguistics and natural language processing, too. What else? I specialize in Foreign Language Writing Skills, and I also research Foreign Language Psychology so I read and write about these a lot. Nothing fictional really. Life has turned me into a nerd after the age of 25... :p

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Upon waking, the dinosaur was still there.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Beer" + "Applied Linguistics" + "Cultures" + "Computer Programming" + "Beer"

hmm apart from beer plus what is mentioned between the "beer" tags, as I usually do, I can teach english, I suppose... but everyone who comes over already speaks english, so that might be a little bit useless :P May be some tips&tricks on how to teach english... apart from that, I can share my limited mythology knowledge, this also includes turkish mythology... and also my native culture, with its pros and cons...

and learning? just send me all you've got, i'm better at that in comparison to teaching :P Plus, my German level is actually more elementary than beginner, may be even slightly higher (haven't had the chance to test it for a while) so you're very welcome to force me to speak German, because I usually hesitate to try... :p Never really dared to speak French, but I can try that too if we really have to! :D
