Ugandan born Iwas well on my way to making a name for myself in the Ugandan entertainment industry prior to immigrating to Australia in 2010.
multifaceted experiences include ranking as one of Uganda's top six stand-up comedy acts in a reality TV series hosted by MultiChoice South Africa, to performing in the highly popular Ugandan gospel-pop outfit 'Sauti' to showcasing designers’ outfits on the runway for Elite Models Uganda.
My passion for the performing arts is best expressed through music and dance with my exceptional talent for song composition, vocals, percussion and the guitar. I'm a rounded performer with a colourful career to date in music, comedy, dance, theatre and modelling. These strengths served me well as a key member of 'Sauti' (The Voice) a prominent Ugandan gospel ensemble , Sauti recorded a number of highly popular tracks and enjoyed a vibrant following both in Uganda and Kenya. I secured the star role in renowned Ugandan playwright Alex Mukulu’s musical “The Journey to Self-Realisation” playing a war victim and has choreographed dance pieces for the benefit of Queen Elizabeth II during her last visit to Uganda in 2007.
Also secured a stint on 2006’s award-winning movie “The Last King of Scotland” with big names Forest Whittaker and James McAvoy. I have worked as a music and dance teacher for African based NGO's and a member of numerous dance, rhythm and percussion ensembles in Sydney, Australia.
Am a nurse too which I have stopped doing a few weeks to pursue my own business in creative arts (obimba Entertainment company)
