About Me

Medical and research student, I have always loved to learn new things and see the world. Erasmus was then an amazing experience and opportunity to meet incredible people from different horizons, to discover a new country (Poland is just wonderful) while traveling through Europe ! I didn't want to stop there and took a gap year, to go further and discover something else, go over my fears. And now coming back from a 6 month internship in New York to Montpellier, a really nice city in the southern France. Though I live in a small student room, I'd be happy to meet and show you around!

One of my big dreams is to do the road 66. I pretty well see myself in a convertible, with Lana Del Rey's songs while driving under the sun haha !

"I always wondered why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." Harun Yahya Chose to have regrets, not remorses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Is there something better than discovering a new place through the locals' tips and their help?

Interests

I love to travel (like all of us). Take a bike, a car, a bus, a train, a plane and go wherever it leads me. I'm taking a book wherever I go. Imagination gives us power, envy, inspiration to live our dreams. I am really active and I do a lot of sports, especially swimming, running and thai boxing (since I took some classes in Thailand). I also really like taking pictures. Still learning how to use fully my camera, I enjoy meeting photographers. Instagram : zlaurad

Music, Movies, and Books

FAUVE, Stromae, Jaymes Young, Thomas Azier, Twenty One Pilots, Lana, U2, Lorn...Open to anything!
My favorite books would be In the country of last things from Paul Auster, La peste from Camus, Harry Potter, Tobie Lolness from Timothée de Fombelle.
Lot of series (Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, Friends, How I Met Your Mother) and various movies (have you watched Dodgeball?) with a current interest in Denis Villeneuve's movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climb the Great Wall in China. Being almost alone with one of the most stunning view I've ever seen.

Travel alone in Thailand and Cambodia for 2 months. Discover the capacity of making friends for life after 2 days. Hitchhike in the Thai mountains. Be arrassed by monkeys.

Move to another country without any plans.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn anything you would like to share with me, your experiences, your trips, your culture... I'm keen on learning new words in a different language and I'd be happy to teach some french and italian!
