ABOUT ME

Lea (Danish) and Peter (Scottish) are a couple of happy folk indeed. Come stop by anytime and we will get the kettle on.

PHILOSOPHY

PETER: To be honest I think I'm still working on that.

LEA: Me too... Its hard to sum up in a few words.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

PETER: I myself have been a freelance couch surfer. I am a long time hitchiker/backpacker and have couch surfed all over Europe. I have also been the host for many others like me. I think CS2 is a natural progression now that I am well.. the scary words... settling down.

LEA: As Peter so nicely put it, we are settling down - slowly. And therefore this is a great way for us to meet new people - them coming here and us having places to stay when we are out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

PETER: I have been in some pretty wild places but only with the accommodation conditions. Never had any problems with people. I have been happy even in dark, damp cold places. Only thing that really bothered me was a noisy fridge whilst sleeping on a floor in the kitchen of an apartment in Derby, England.

LEA: Most of my couch surfing experiences has been at friends houses after nights on the town. Actually, most of my hosting too :) But this is all to change.

Interesses

PETER: I myself love anything technical. photography and sound being the two main ones. I love to set up rock bands, shoot them and pack them all up again.

LEA: I enjoy a good book, lots of tea, going dancing, live shows, the beauty of nature, loud rock, quiet Sunday mornings, walks by the train tracks, my new camera, travelling, swimming in the sea, diversity.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

PETER: Its always been Pearl Jam for me music wise. I dont usually like to say because its personal and more than 'my favourite band' but I'll make an exception this time. I'll need to review my film and book thoughts.

LEA: Music is much more than simple entertainment. A few of the bands that mean a lot to me is; Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, Pearl Jam and Tool.
A the moment im reading mostly biographies on musicians or bands :) Great stories and good insight to the music too.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

PETER: My first Roskilde Festival (2005) is at the top of all things amazing for me. Too many moments to jot down. Beauty. Life. Lust. Music. Vision. Love. Hope. Freedom. All in multitudes. Update: I now include Tokyo and New Zealand. Tokyo was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Exciting, full of sound, lights, colours, smells. Full of life. A visual explosion. New Zealand was when I discovered paradise.

LEA: My three years in Tanzania as a child, finding Paradise on Earth - New Zealand and getting lost in Tokyo's narrow alleyways.

Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe

PETER: Well if you like I can take you through basic photography techniques. Or show you how to proper tie up a cable.

LEA: Well, a couple of phrases in Danish - dirty or sober, and I could teach you how to make the best chocolate muffins, but then I would have to do you in ;)
