My name is Lief. It means Love. I hope to live up to it :)

I've switched careers quite a bit in my life. Now, in my mid 30s, I'd point to photography and videography as my main income earners.

In my past lives I've been, a permaculture farmer, bike mechanic, a laboratory scientist, and a community organizer in progressive politics. I'm also currently working on a book about polyamory.

I'm a pretty easy going person, I believe in love and connection as a prime foundation of human experience. I always find myself doing social jobs. I think traveling is a great way to connect people through these shared experiences.

I strongly believe in a global community.

I think this has become especially more relevant with social media and airbnb. I don't want to profit off my space. Santa Fe is such a beautiful spot, but so much of the experience is for sale. Vacation properties, tourist companies, etc, dominate the ethos of this town.

I would like to contribute to a culture shift of sharing in a more interconnected way. Cultural exchange, without money please and thank you.

Im super into moves, music, and books. Favorites isn't a word I use, just what I'm currently into. My friend recommended Hyperion and I'm reading that. The last movie I watched that I really liked was Possessor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in a lot of protests and activist campaigns, but organizing Bend's Women's March as Lead Peacekeeper is something I'm most proud of.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music is a great way to collaborate with the spirits of other humans. I am focusing on sharing (both learning and teaching) various forms of music in my life right now.

I DJ, learning piano, getting better at trombone. It's enough to last a lifetime.
