Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is good to meet new people and there is little reason to pay for places to stay when there are so many people who have homes to share.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen mostly to reggae and country music, but I like anything that doesn't involve screaming. I like about all movies, so long as it's in English or has subtitles. I am a book snob, I read primarily nonfiction and classics. I recently wrote a travel novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled around the world.

I have loved and been loved.

I have been close enough to death to have a healthy appreciation for life.

I gave away most of my possessions.

I fasted for a week and realized that even what we view as necessary isn't necessary.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: If you wish to attain Enlightenment, you are welcome to stay for more than a few days.

Share: A zeal for adventure and a helping hand. I like doing manual labor even though I'm not particularly skilled at it. I can cook! Fresh cooked nuggets of Indiana folk wisdom.

Learn: There are many things I do not know. Teach me something.
