I teach art in Wichita, KS and I run an Airbnb here and enjoy meeting new people. I've been doing Airbnb for two and a half years now. I have two daughters, two dogs, three chickens and a little kitten who adopted my chickens :) I love dancing, art, reading, writing, music, yoga, bicycling, skating and traveling. I am considerate, as are my children. We like to leave things as we found them or even a little better than we found them. I'm certified to teach psychology and love to talk about it. I am an herbalist who successfully treats a variety of illnesses with science-based herbal, functional and food medicine. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't make much money as a teacher but I like to travel. I figure I have an Airbnb here and don't mind having other visitors so that I can travel cheaply. I love travelling and want to do it more. I enjoy hosting people at my Airbnb from all over the world (Charming Old House by the River if you want to check me out) and want to meet more people. I have enough room in my house to comfortably house Couchsurfing guests and anyone who hosts me here will get the supreme Wichita treatment for free! I often travel with my teenage daughter, who is mature and a lot of fun! We're both open to new experiences and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have very eclectic tastes. Music: I like everything from punk to funk, metal to bluegrass, classical to rap. I like music that doesn't suck. Examples of good music would be Patti Smith, Split Lip Rayfield, Childish Gambino, Deb Talan, Parliament, Johnny Cash, Billie Eilish, Dead Kennedys, Metallica, Queen, David Bowie, Vivaldi, Decemberists, Missy Elliot, Princess Nokia, Feist, The Embarrassment...

Books: I love literature and have read a ton of it but I read more non-fiction now; science, research, politics, etc. Mostly because I'm interested in that stuff and because good literature sucks me in too much. I can't put a good book down to say, go to work, sleep, eat...

Movies: LOVE THEM! Never watch them. When I do I like independent films, horror, action-adventure documentaries and cerebral stuff. I saw Deadpool 2 last night and loved it!

Food: Spicy and exotic. Thai, Indian, sushi, Mexican, Ethiopian and the like. I prefer to eat organic, love to cook and really have a very wide variety of food tastes. That's me-Ms. Variety.
