About Me
CURRENT MISSION
At the mo' I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with all my years of uni. Meanwhile I want to get my hands dirty and learn a bit about sustainable agriculture hands on.
ABOUT ME
I love exploring the world and her people whilst doing some work which will hopefully contribute to a more sustainable, nicer world (at least that's the aim).
I also like taking naps and sunbaths :3
PHILOSOPHY
curiosity, love, happiness, eating good food, go for some wild dancing, music, enjoying life and helping others do so as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While travelling and working abroad I have received so much kindness and hospitality from people, no matter what their personal circumstances were. Those interactions were more than just fine cups of tea, but inspiring exchanges of ideas and experiences.
So I'd simply like to give back and keep on sharing and creating new ideas.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
mainly surfing at the moment but would be happy to host as well :) I live in the leafy foresters' town of Tharandt (about 15km and a short train ride from the more famous Dresden).
Interests
As a venturing ecologist I like to explore the interactions between organisms (including humans as well as insects), their environment and processes. basically how everything fits together and has an effect on others- feedback loops!
I also enjoy the arts and dance, photography (just gotten into that), hiking and traveling, experimental cooking and gardening, handicrafts... the list goes on.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: classic and contemporary Russian, French and British literature
Music: Rokia Traore, Sixto Rodriguez, Calexico, Agnes Obel, Anna Calvi, Bob Dylan, Eduardo Ludovico, ELO, Nina Simone.... pretty much a diverse mix lacking representatives of the HipHop and Rap scene ;)
Films/Directors: Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Sergio Leone and stuff they'd show at non-mainstream film festivals
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I organised an expedition to the Philippines and ended up chopping off my hair to raise money. spent 10 weeks trudging through the deep smelly mud of the mangrove to learn about leaf decomposition ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
On my list to learn are: playing the ukulele and hand drums, swing and contemporary dance, kayaking, making spicy pastes, gardening
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories and ideas but also a bit of basic house and bike DIY skill
I can also cook 5 dishes safely and am happy to offer a dinner as a token of gratefulness! :D
