About Me

I like to play the guitar, sing, and jam with other people.

Currently, my boyfriend, Donald Dang, and I are volunteering throughout Southeast Asia and are planning to live in Vietnam starting 2017. We have been doing work for stays at hostels, guesthouses, English learning centers, and farms. We enjoy staying in a country for a couple weeks so we can learn more about the area and learn from the locals. We love helping out and if you host us you will always be invited to stay with us in our home.

I can speak French fairly well and would love to participate in a conversation exchange if anyone is interested!

I am passionate about the environment and strive to find ways to protect our planet. I love meeting new people and traveling to new places. I strive to live sustainably while living life to the fullest and not taking anything wonderful in life for granted.

I'm always up for impromptu journeys and going to live shows. I'm always down to try new things and am open to trying out new experiences!

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is not about finding yourself; Life is about creating yourself."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy attending CS outings and meeting people through CS. I've crashed on many couches & have hosted several people. It's great learning and connecting with people from around the country and the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful. I have met so many great inspiring people and my travels would not have been as fulfilling if I did not use couchsurfing.

Couchsurfing has not only helped me in my travels, but it has been a great tool for meeting like-minded people when I was living abroad in France and I'm grateful to be active in the CS community.

Interests

I enjoy music, concerts, festivals, playing guitar, singing, dancing, sprinting in the rain, drinking coffee, strolling through parks, cooking wonderful food, eating spicy food, growing my own food, traveling, exploring, art, graffiti, presenting slam poetry, doing stand-up comedy, taking pictures of sunsets and learning more about my camera, climbing trees, hanging out on roofs, hiking, biking, outdoor recreation, swimming in the ocean, petting fuzzy animals, learning from others, meeting new friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been snorkeling in The Bahamas off Andros Island in the prettiest area of the Gulf admiring our vast marine environment and learning from the locals.

I biked with 10 other awesome folks from New Orleans to Dallas to support communities that have been affected by the oil and chemical industries as well as the environment. Traveling on a bicycle is the best way to travel and explore the places around you.

I took a 3 month road trip through the United States. I traveled to 28 states going all the way up to the Northeast and then traveling all the way out West.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone a few chords on the guitar and a song if they're patient. I can make an authentic American breakfast/brunch. I can also make great crepes based on my grandmother's recipe.

I really want to learn more about settings and features on a DSLR camera. I'm always interested in learning a new language, or conversational pieces and phrases in another language. I truly enjoy learning so it's whatever someone really wants to share and teach me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always willing to share food and cook meals for those who host me. I can also share my songs and poems if hosts are interested!
