ABOUT ME

Hey all!

I'm 28 and I come from Sheffield, in the north of England.

When I went InterRailing around Europe at the age of 18, I believe I found my calling - travelling is the most stimulating, exciting and life-affirming thing I believe anyone can do with their life, and I have made it my mission to find a way to make it my life!

Since leaving home at the age of 18, I have lived in London, New Zealand, Liverpool, and Copenhagen, with many other brief stints and travels in other parts of the world! My main focus at the moment is on finishing my Master's degree in Tourism, for which I am researching cultural tourism in Greenland.

I can't wait to meet more of you great people!

PHILOSOPHY

Most people hold onto the past, look forward to the future, and do not embrace the present. Only those who can appreciate what they have now live fully.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first found out about Couchsurfing when my friend Harriet and I were planning a tour around Germany in 2009. She sings very well and I play guitar, and we both learnt German together at school, so we decided to do a busking tour around the country, and we surfed couches along the way!

It was incredibly easy to organise and to meet great people and everyone was so welcoming - not only letting us stay but also taking the time to take us around the city and introduce us to their friends and to some amazing times we never would have had if we had taken the usual tourist route...

Couchsurfing is a revolution of goodness in a world that seems to be increasingly full of negativity!
