About Me

Planning my summer

ABOUT ME

Hey guys, my name is Lorenz and I am from Innsbruck, Austria. I am currently an undergrad studying in England for my BA in a largely economics based degree which centres around property and the environment.I love meeting new people, learning about their cultures and engaging in discussion. I'm very open minded and ready for all sorts of adventures. I love the great outdoors and being close to nature just as much as I like bustling cities. Lazy days on the beach are generally not my thing as I am way too active for that but I don't mind them from time to time. I'm up for pretty much anything, from painting the town red to spending a whole day wandering around museums, universities and markets. Sports are a very important part of my life and the best way to get rid of stress and mental blockades. There's nothing that clears your head better than standing on the top of a mountain in the fresh air and let your gaze wander over the splendid panorama of the peaks around you. I love trying new things, including sports. So whenever I get the chance, I want to do things I haven't done before. Travelling is my passion and there's nothing I enjoy more. I'm easy going and (almost, really almost, well pretty much all the time but I want to leave that back door open ;) ) always in a good mood.I like being around civilized people with a good sense of humour who don't take themselves too seriously and have a similar interest in learning about different cultures and places. I am respectful and polite and think that the diversity of human people and their way of life is enriching and something to strive for and is nothing to be afraid of. People say that I'm a lot of fun to be with (better judge for yourself).Life's one big adventure from start to finish and I hope to meet many interesting and like minded people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting people from around the globe wherever I go, either locals who can show me 'their' village/city/county/etc. or fellow travellers to share experiences. I'm up for anything, from adventurous to very relaxed. I'd be delighted to show people around my home town Innsbruck, both day & night! I'm also a decent guide of Cambridge but terms tend to be very busy and hectic and I cannot guarantee a tour. But just drop me a msg and we can figure sth out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in the US and Canada for 3 months last summer and it was the most amazing experience of my life. I was fortunate enough to stay with the most amazing people and I cannot really see myself travelling any other way any more!

- eating in the street kitchens of Hanoi
- riding on the outside of a tram in Lisbon
- being invited to watch the 4th of July fireworks in Boston in the best possible spot that any of the 700 000 people who were there had
...
