ABOUT ME

I'm forever trying to get a good nights sleep. I'm a frustrated artist. I love plants and animals and have a huge love and respect for nature. I'm a spiritual person but not really in the conventional way. I have a memory that doesn't behave the way I want it to, so I'm crap at telling stories. Disappointingly to many, I don't drink, but surprisingly to most, I can still have fun and be silly without the help of substances. I like to think I generally don't take myself too seriously and can have a laugh in most situations, usually at myself.

I have couchsurfed a few countries...Belgium, Germany, Scotland, England, Wales, Netherlands, Denmark, France, Thailand, Indonesian...
and unofficially in...England, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, around New Zealand...

I have hosted a few people in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Auckland and Raglan too...

Intereses

Nature, art, music, design, architecture, permaculture, film, hand crafts and DIY, growing plants and food naturally, taking and looking at photos, second-hand stuff and finding those little gems in junk shops, markets, cycling, skating and walking places, getting about on trains and ferries and buses, reading books, Vipassana meditation, Iyengar yoga, cooking and baking sometimes...and a multitude of other little things...generally the simple things in life.

I'm super into music. I'm very broad in what I like but very selective at the same time. I think there is good music in nearly all styles. I love: Hip Hop of all kinds, most forms of Electronic Music (very selectively), Jazz, Reggae/Dub/Dancehall, Blues, Alt-Country (and a little regular country), Folk of all sorts (including the myriad of traditional folk music from around the world), Funk, Classical, ambient and punk/postpunk/indie/postrock/newwave/nowave/rock'n'roll guitar music. Plus lots of other stuff, genre is a silly concept really.
