ABOUT ME

!!! I do not live in Clermont at the moment, so I can't host you if you want to visit this city. !!!

I am 21 years old girl from France. I like to discover new places and people, as well as new cultures, and travelling has always been something I love.
I'm curently studying foreign languages, I'm trying to learn Russian and Spanish, and to keep on improving my English. I'm also trying to learn turkish and esperanto on my own, but it takes time!
I grew up and still live in the french countryside, but I've visited many places, and I want to keep on discovering new countries, cultures, ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it is a great way to discover a country : there is no better way to learn about a culture than to meet people. I believe the experience is really different from staying at a hotel, surrounded by other tourists.
Last year I went to Norway and stayed there thanks to hosts I found on couchsurfing, and I met some really wonderful people. I think I'll never forget them.
At the moment I cannot host, but as soon as I get a flat big enough, I will.

Interests

When I have the time I like to read. I don't really have a specific type of book that I like more, I just read whatever I find. I used to play a lot of music, and I still enjoy playing it with other people, I still play guitar and a bit of piano too. I like to take hundreds of pictures when I visit a place I've never been to. It's always nice to look at them afterwards, when I'm back home and want to go on a trip again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big fan of Queen, Pink Floyd, but I also enjoy discovering new music (I recently listened to a lot of Eminem and Marina and the Diamonds). My favorite singer at the moment would be Stromae, or David Bowie.
I like to read all kinds of books : from classics to more moderns and contemporary books. I am trying to read more books in English, Spanish and Russian. I also spend way to much time reading random articles on wikipedia or on the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It isn't really amazing but to me, it felt great : I was waiting for my plane in a Belgian airport, reading a book written in Russian, when an old russian lady starts to talk with me. We chatted for maybe 5 or 10 minutes, then I had to leave. But before I went, she gave me a book, and told me to come see her when I would be in Russia.
That may not sound amazing, but she was the sweetest person I met, and I will visit her as soon as I get to go to Russia.
I also went to see a glacier in Norway with two amercans I met in the hostel I was staying. We spent the day together. I'm so glad I met them, I couldn't have seen the glacier if they hadn't offered to share their car with me ! Thanks Julie and Chris.
I lived and studied in Russia for almost 5 months, and I met some really wonderful people. I made friends (russians but also some other international students), and it taught me a lot about how people from around the world view things. I hope I can see them again some day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a bit of french, or some basic rules of photography. I can also try to teach you how to cook some french dishes, although I am not really experimented.
I want to learn about how people from everywhere view the world. I think it is important to travel, because you might discover ways of thinking you had never thought of before. And it helps to open up.
I'm not sure if I'm a great story teller, but I will happily talk about my trips, or any topics.
