ABOUT ME

Although I was born in Argentina, I spent my childhood in the Italian countryside. Can you imagine being an Italo-Argentenean child? What a dilemma.
..Should I wear a poncho? ..Pretend to be a Gaucho? ..Or maybe I should adopt a slow heavy Italian accent, and dedicate my life to mastering the sound of a mandolin?!
In all this confusion I eventually ended up moving to a fairly cosmopolitan city in Denmark, surrounded by the most variegate flock of people, many of which travellers and rambling souls.

I'm the new kid in the block, totally new to the couchsurfing experience.
I see this as an opportunity, a new path to open, possibly leading to a whole bunch of empowering experiences and enlightning moments of self discovery while sharing with others.

I haven't traveled much, if kilometers is your unit of measure. My plans often seem to derail, merge, blossom into something unexpected, sometimes better, sometimes worse. I somehow tend to end up in curious situations no matter the surrounding geopolitics situation. A convenience, on certain days.
I prefer the story associated to a brief unexpected moment over the recount of an epic pictoresque journey, and enjoy people who consistently manage to escape the flow of events by altering a single variable of its system.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being new to couchsurfing I hadn't had the chance yet to give back what was given to me.
If Couchsurfing is surfing/hosting, then I have only one experience to relate.
I believe however that there is more to that, because that one time made me feel that couchsurfing had nothing to do with the couch itself (as indeed we slept on a mattress, rather than a sofa).
Maybe, and I just say maybe, I could have something in common with this curious bunch of "strangers".
That genuine feeling of spontaneity and desire for sharing, although foreign to me in this form, felt disarming in its absolute naturality.
I got tempted into giving a quick bite, and now I want the whole pie.

Interests

My brain is voracious when it comes to good stories. Around a campfire, while walking down a muddy road, anywhere anytime.
Stories reveal much of people, about how they think, about what details they retain out of a particular situation. Hearing them just lets all this goodness flow, allowing the listener to get closer and closer to its narrator.

And bass. Yes, I play bass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once built a village for frogs.
It was a true marvel, an accomplishment for infant engineering.

A fully accessorized frog village with plastic walls high enough to protect its little inhabitants from any foreign threat (apart from captivity), with enough vegetation to make them forget about the immense variety of flora that stood everywhere around their fence, and most of all, a secure, inexpugnable, inescapable fortress.

All frogs escaped by morning.
I guess that taught that some things are meant to be enjoyed on the fly, rather than captured in a crystal frame..
