About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making friends all over the world

ABOUT ME

We love having people over, making food, working in our garden and sometimes just chilling, doing nothing. We both love animals and outdoors activities, and love to share our photo's with anyone who cares to see them. We sometimes talk way too much.
We like collecting things; memories, rocks, cultural ornaments and foreign money.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We usually host. We like to spend time with our surfers, taking them to places, getting to know them better and making friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing seemed to be a daring thing, but turned out to be very rewarding. Opening our house to complete strangers was very strange at first, but we met some very nice people this way.

Interests

We love animals, we have two dogs and a cat of our own (so you will have to share the house with them), and we support the local cheetah breeding program and local animal shelter.
We both love cooking, and love to get recipes from our surfers and share traditional food with them.
We are involved with a local classical choir, so you might end up spending an evening with a group of music nerds.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have very different taste in music, movies and books. You find metal and classical music, thrillers and love stories in our house. We like action movies, sci-fi and intelligent comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the African sunset every day.
Humpback whale watching at St. Lucia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Couch surfing is not just about finding a place to stay, it is about people. Make time to chat to your hosts or surfers, and your stay will be SO much better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love to share our experience and traditions with guests. You will most probably experience some South African or German food with us. We will also share the values of couch surfing: that this is not just free accommodation, but a way to broaden your world.

Countries I’ve Visited
