About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I can't stay in one place for too long (four years is the record). I can be shy and quiet. I can be loud and crazy. I smile a lot. I sing (badly) all the time. I love to read. I love to meet new people (and I hate to leave them). I don't think before I speak. I'm sarcastic. I don't eat anything that once had a face (vegetarian). I'm obsessive compulsive about studying. I have the tendency to get lost. I worry about how others feel. I want to save the world. I joke a lot. I am a horrible dancer (but I do it anyways). I am a night owl. I have a lot of dreams and no solid plans.

PHILOSOPHY

"Open your heart to the world."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS has been really great for me! I first came to join in Italy where I kept up with monthly meetings in Genova before I began to surf. I surfed a bit in Italy and I've made a few trips in the United States, but hosting has really been the best part about couchsurfing so far. It's really great to meet new people in my home and have the ability to show them my town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up on an Italian beach at sunrise to realize that I was poor, hungover, breaking the law, and loving life more than I could have possibly imagined.

There was also this incredible experience where I got to ride on the back of a motorcycle through the streets of Napoli as we went to a local bar for the world's best pizza and a cold beer. Nothing can compare to brushing past a city bus and swerving around cursing pedestrians as we raced through the narrow alleyways decorated with banners of drying laundry and market stalls selling everything imaginable. Being able to travel through the raw chaos of Naples without any filters was unbelievable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a tasty risotto or veggie empanadas, how to say a few key cuss words in Italian, how to say "pineapple" in about 20 different languages, how to count to 4 in Turkish, how to set up an aquarium, and how to play a couple card games. I'm not too shabby at teaching English, either.
