About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the most of my sabbacital. Traveling through Korea (mainly national Parks) and getting to know local people.

ABOUT ME

I worked in the field of bookkeeping and management control. But then I decided to travel for more than just 3 weeks of holiday. In my free time I was involved in environmental protection (with themes like: microplastics (in cosmetics), (anti) coal-fired power, sunstainable agriculture, animal welfare, dress exchange parties...) and I also went for a hike every other week.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to waste time! Do what you want to do and do it now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend of mine recommendet couchsurfing to me because he had so much fun and met interesting and crazy people. I followed his advice and I also made great experiences in Madrid and Zaragoza.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I don't have much CS experiences, but it was so great that I don't want to travel in another way anymore!

Interests

I love to travel to see beautiful nature. But for me it is also very important to get to know local people. Their toughts, their way of life, their traditions.
As I am a vegetarian I'm curious if it's going to be difficult in Korea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading crime thriller. But every now and then I need something else. In preparation for travels I like to read novels about the country where I'm traveling to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dog slidding and driving snow mobile in Kiruna. Also seeing the ice hotel was amazing. Unimaginable that it is possible to drive 100km/h on an absolutely snowy road, only interrupted by reindeers crossing the road.
Standing on the Thorong La-Pass in Nepal on 5.416m.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some german and tell about german traditions. I like to learn about any other country because every culture has something interesting and things I don't know yet.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, France, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Nepal, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Spain, Sweden
