My home is a safe space for women and LGBTQ + people. I’m also available to host anyone seeking medical care that cannot be received in certain U.S. states. Please reach out.

Anyone offended by thisrule should remember that cis, straight men have control over nearly all spaces on earth and it’s time to relinquish control and allow others to exist comfortably. You can also take some real effort to be a genuinely good guy and encourage your male friends to do so as well. I’m here to support solo or duo traveling women who need a safe space. Practice not being creepy. Practice respecting women. Practice speaking out against misogyny, mansplaining, manspreading, and male violence. Please women with “good guy” boyfriends, don’t request because you think he’s the exception; you’re not getting the point.

2. If my calendar is closed I’m already booked!

3. Due to covid I request only vaccinated individuals. I also ask that you do a rapid covid test the morning of your arrival or just before you get here. Please don’t show up with symptoms.

4. Respect my home & cat.

5. 4 night stats max, preferably 3 nights.

6. Be quiet at night.

7.No extra guests.

8. No smoking or smokers. No drugs.

9. This isn't a dating site.

ABOUT ME Intelligent. Funny. Complicated. Intense. Silly. Creative. Loving. I have two cats named Cha Cha (Chance) and Kismet. I found them outside my previous building nine years ago, just as my very first Couchsurfer came to stay with me. They changed my life, and I think hosting surfers has too!

Sad note: Sweetheart Cha Cha passed away in February. He had a heart murmur, so I knew it could happen young. It’s just me and Kismet now.

PHILOSOPHY I believe in not adding expectations to things because you will often find yourself very disappointed. By not expecting, you leave yourself open to surprises and new experiences! That said, please follow the rules too!

Sometimes I host people and somedays I may need a place to stay. Also, it's nice to meet new people and hang out.

I ONLY HOST FEMALES. Please respect this and do not send me requests if you are male or traveling with a male. This is for the safety and comfort of me and my guests because of the set up of my home and the devaluation of women in society. TG females or NB folx are welcome; This is an LGBTQIA safe space.

This is also a somewhat kid-friendly space. I am/was a foster mom, so I have kid toys, but currently the crib isn’t available. Ask if you’re traveling with kids.

This would take forever, so I'll just say that I love Poe, Vonnegut, Salinger and Adams. I love the Coen brothers, Joaquin Phoenix, Gary Oldman, Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon, sci-fi/time travel, comedy, drama, and certain romantic movies. I listen to all sorts of music and love discovering new music. I especially love jazz (Charlie Parker).

Skydiving. The view was amazing. The parachute went out wrong & we had to use the back up. It was a thrilling near-death experience!

I want to learn to speak Spanish & French. REALLY learn them. And to play chess & piano. I can probably teach lots of things about art, acting, cancer... I can't think of anything easily taught by typing it out.
