Heey there i'm Marissa
I am a young, ambitious and typical looking dutchie.
Before I tell you something about my self. couchsurfing is not a dating site but a way to meet new people in different environments, to learn, teach and share with each and another our beautiful life on this little blue dot in the universe!

About me, summer 2017, I graduated from college and I started working.
I studied animal care, I have worked with elephants, primates and many other animals.
You can consider me as a real animal lover but I'd also love traveling.
After applying for a lot of different jobs in animal care and being rejected by every one of them, I was discouraged. I needed a different purpose in life. So started planning to travel the world.
Firstly I did a roadtrip around California in August 2018.
After this roadtrip I got inspired to do more! So I planned another one. A bigger, more challenging one: backpacking a year round in Australia! Starting on 16 October 2018 and I'm sure this was a hell of an adventure! Exactly 1 year later as planned I arrived back in The Netherlands.
I’m currently studying for my bachelor of science in The Hague!
Studying communication and multimedia design, a new chapter with new people, challenges and who knows what more! Besides studying,
I’m making the best coffees as a barista!
And meanwhile I’m still going on small trips, love to meet up with people and share experiences!

To describe myself in a few words I would say that I'm curious, adventurous, warm-hearted and open minded and I can’t shut up about the things I’m passionated about!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to do more then only traveling around and see places. I want to be part of a great society, be able to meet new and meaningful people in life, To learn more from each and another and hopefully share our knowledge together.
I hope couchsurfing can participate in being part of a great society and giving me a beter experience with traveling around the world, then only seeing places.

🎬 all kind of movies are great, but action, fantasy and documentaries are the most genres I watch.

🐘 training/working with elephants while doing an internship in a local zoo.
🦅 working with birds of prey as a volunteer.
