About Me

I am a social and serious person. I love spanding time with friends . As I am always interested in other people and different cultures I like to travel and to meet people. Therefor I was a hostmum for 5 exchannge students of AFS.
I teach schoolchildren from 6 until12 year old. Also I am a mother of a 20 year old. We live in a smal village at the border with the Netherlands. Our village Arendonk has nature, supermarkets, public swimming pool, art academy, an old wind mill,... but there is not so much to see. Still it is a quiet nice place.
As I am very busy as volunteer by 4 organisations, socio cultural... I meet other persons easily.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think I have a graet interest in how people of different cultures live and see their life. I did CS in Africa even before it existed. With my daugther we had graet CS hosts in China. I am interested in different cultures and want to see how daily live can be in differnet places. I travelled when I was younger and also lived one year in Ecuador as a volunteer in a educacion project. Now as member of an exchange organisation, AFS, I meet youngsters from all over the world who come for one schoolyear living in our area. Also I voluntered with refugees in my community.
Although I don't have much time as a working mum I want to travel more, don't spend in hotels, but see real life. So couchsurfing seems a nice way to meet locals and learn about them and their cities.
