ABOUT ME

Hey, I´m Martin, Philology student at the Arctic University of Tromsø, Norway. I'm a calm, positive person who enjoys both a good conversation and a good party. I'm a man of the mountain, and I love the outdoors and extreme nature and weather. I enjoy every kind of activity involving skiis in particular (My favorite is skii touring/mountaineering, but my most recent project is kiteboarding). But to love nature does not mean that I hate civilization - I study literature, religion and philosophy, so museums, architecture and urban atmospheres may bring me just as much pleasure as a new summit. My travel philosophy is not to escape or to take a break from a stressful or dull daily life, but to broaden my understanding of humanity, and explore how different people find happiness and meaning in life.

Interests

I read and write literature, play the guitar and the harp, and live in the mountains. I'd rather ski than walk:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to read literature from all around the world, and I've lately had a special interest in Japanese and Russian literature. I am writing my Master's Thesis in Southern literature, so I'm also very fond of especially Faulkner. I mostly listen to classical music, but my guilty pleasure is country music, and I have a secret crush on Taylor Swift. i love Tarantino and Kubrick.
