I am 71 years young and want to expand my world. I am retired and have car camped all around Colorado the past decade. Now I'd like to explore other parts of my country and meet new people. Safety first is a favorite motto, and this seems like a great way to go! I enjoy interacting, but am also big on solitude. Being left alone does not bother me. I have set aside money to be able to drive places and explore different areas and cultures. I am exuberantly looking forward to a new chapter!

Getting to know new people is a big part of why I want to travel. I have heard Couchsurfing referred to as "a community" and I'm all about that. People with open minds and hearts......
And I would love to host people from other places. Story telling is a great way to understand another culture, and I am looking forward to hearing the stories of my future guests.
I live 45 minutes from Ouray Ice Park, so wanted to let ice climbers know there is a couch close to the Ice Festival.

Musica, film e libri

I like lots of different kinds of music, including Classical and Blues, Reggae, Rockabilly and some Latin and New Age stuff. I like to read mysteries, historical fiction and books about women's history. Haven't seen any great movies lately. They're mostly just long.

I went through nursing school when I was already 50 +. My teachers were younger than me!! Then went on to become the Marijuana Nurse in the Grand Valley area of southwestern Colorado, which was my perfect job!!

I have been doing Hatha Yoga for fifty years and it has added so much to my life. I would love to share that with people. I also have been meditating for a long time and know many techniques.
I love to sing along with people making music and always travel with some percussion instruments...... Love to dance, too!

I am happy to help in the kitchen any time for prep or clean up. I have great housekeeping skills as I have been a woman for a long time:) I have mad gardening skills and have grown my own cannabis for years. Also, as a retired nurse, I know a lot about nutrition, exercise, and healthy living. And I am well acquainted with the grieving process, both before and after a death, as I have worked as a hospice nurse.
