About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Solving the loneliness crisis with my app Panion (which allows you to search for people with common interests, values, and experiences, wherever you go).

ABOUT ME

I'm a documentary filmmaker/cinematographer/photographer currently living in Malmö, Sweden.

I've been Couchsurfing since 2006. I hope to continue discovering new places, cultures, and incredible people.

PHILOSOPHY

I love to explore a country and/or culture through the eyes of its inhabitants... I try to stay clear of tourists (though I can't avoid being one myself sometimes too). I try to develop relationships with those who can help me gain a more accurate experience and perspective (if there is such a thing) of a place, country, culture, and people.

Someone else's philosophy that I'd like to borrow and make my own:
"Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf, I host, I meet for coffee. I teach, I debate, I open-minds, I open mine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on more couches than I've hosted. I'm now trying to change that. CS is pretty much the only way I travel these days, so I've had quite a bit of experience. I've connected with such incredible people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I like experiencing the local, traditional music of a new place. I tend to listen to more independent artists than commercial ones... I have a long reading list that has yet to be conquered. I watch mostly documentaries and films from and about countries that I want to visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

These stories are better in person. Ask me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to pick up new languages and in turn can teach what I know.
Because I have travelled a good amount, I can share some useful tips on living in transit and traveling cheaply.
I teach yoga.
I am willing to share/teach any skills I have acquired, just ask.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, I can cook for you, language practice, a new perspective on your city
