About Me
Hi! I am from the Netherlands and I work as a software engineer. Because I can work remotely, I have the opportunity to travel a big part of the year. I have done several multiple month trips this way, to South America, South East Asia, the Balkans and Turkey.
Usually I travel quite slowly, I take my time to get to know a place, I like to meet local people and get to know the local culture, but I also enjoy going to museums and going to local restaurants and cafes.
Besides that I enjoy other things such as hiking, playing guitar, cooking, outdoor sports, reading (about psychology, spirituality, history, economics, geopolitics and many other topics) and programming (my career is also my hobby).
From now on I want to travel more to non-western cultures. I have traveled to Asia and South America and I had amazing experiences. In the future I would like to travel more to Africa and Asia. I think as westerners there is so much we can learn from those cultures.
At some point I would also like to buy a motorbike or campervan and travel the world with it. The freedom that comes with that is amazing.
