About Me

Hello!

I've recently started my professional career as a maths teacher in Nottingham. This is my seventh year living here now, as before becoming a teacher I was a student here, so I know all the ins and outs of Nottingham! I've had great experiences on CS so far, visiting many different countries and meeting lots of amazing people! I'd like to give back to the community by hosting as I haven't done it as much as being hosted. If you're thinking of visiting Nottingham, do your research on where you would like to visit! I'd love to show people round my city as I think it is underrated, though I'm only willing to show people round if they are willing to be shown round. If you send me a request let me know what in Nottingham you would like to see.

I'm an outgoing person who loves meeting new people, hearing life-stories, learning about new things, getting into different hobbies, and up for trying new things out. I am a relatively easy-going guy, enjoying chilling out with a few drinks and getting to know someone just as much as I enjoy hitting up the clubs and bars in the city. When I'm not working I spend a lot of time playing guitar and socialising with friends. I enjoy talking about all the music I like and the gigs I've been to.

Other from that I am also vegan, so it'd be great if I could chill with another vegan to cook up some meals with, or someone who is willing to try some great vegan food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want to be like a typical tourist when travelling about, therefore it would be great experience cities as if I was a local. Also enjoy hanging out with different people and getting to know them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally like most types of music, but in particular indie and hard rock.
Music: Kings of Leon, RHCP, Beatles, Don Broco, Mumford & Sons, 1975, Sam Fender.

Used to work at a cinema, so enjoy watching all sorts of movies!
Movies: Up, Back to the Future, Some Like it Hot, Psycho,

Read quite a few books in my time, but especially enjoy A Song of Ice and Fire series

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was fortunate enough to be accepted onto a summer school to visit the university in Chandigarh, Punjab, India. I learned so much from this experience and it was life-changing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recently trained to be a teacher, so I love to teach people new things, wether that is related to my own personal interests like maths (very unlikely someone wants to learn about that!) or if one needs helps with the English language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A friendly and charismatic personality which I hope is a pleasant atmosphere. Great sense of humour, open-mindedness and sharing stories. Equally willing to chill out as hitting up the local nightlife. Can also make some nice vegan dishes.
