About Me

UPDATE: In Yogjakarta from 14-22nd May, would be great to meet up to explore creative sides of the city!

MISSION:

changing the world one idea at a time:)

ABOUT ME:

I'm a human-being firstly, and if you need labels, words like changemaker/researcher/traveler/socialentrepeneur can describe me... I'm very grateful about being alive at this time and all the opportunities to give and receive... we live in an incredible world which would take thousands of lifetimes to explore (but I'll give it a shot:)

I love exploring new places, having conversations about the meaning of life, eating succulent food, and being reminded each day how amazing life is☺

My parents are from different cultures (anglo-asian) so I've always been interested in trying to understand how the world can be seen through the different sides of the prism.

I love sunsets views, from beaches, rooftops. Golden light casts a spell on me. I love to explore the curious, the secret, the abandoned places and buildings as they often have stories that are rarely heard. I'm also a person of contrasts - amidst a whir of activity, I also am a very relaxed person - idle conversations on the couch over a drink suit me fine:)

I poured my heart and mind into a PhD in cross-cultural environmental photo-storytelling a few years ago, and now I'm doing the same raising a beautiful 6month old baby Luna with my partner Sorell (well with more heart than mind!).

PHILOSOPHY:

"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing."
- Arundhati Roy

"Those who cannot hear the music think the dancers are mad" - Anonymous

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think its an awesome way of meeting amazing people all around the world!

I love staying with someone who actually has some understanding of a place and is genuinely excited to share rather than just a hostel with the same conversations....

I've stayed (and hosted) with people from so many different countries and its affirming to feel a common sense of humanity.
