About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Start off small and eventually travel to the farthest depths of the universe.

ABOUT ME

Many things in my life are universal. Those are coffee and a good conversation. Now mix that with a sprinkle of adventure, add in a couple scoops of exotic, and throw in a pinch of fun, and you get an aspiring traveler. I want to travel to gain some perspective on other cultures, lives, and learn the story of others to understand world in a better light than what society exhibits.

PHILOSOPHY

"Never listen, but always try to understand." I feel that is the best way to truly connect with someone. Anyone can listen to you, but it always takes a better person to understand what your trying to convey emotionally. If we as people can just stop listening and really beginning to understand each other, this emotional depth would enable us to gain introspective knowledge of others, but most importantly ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm new to this community and would like to participate more. In fact I plan to start couchsurfing soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, keyword "yet."

Interests

OH dear mother of glob! Where to start. I work hard, I try to be independent, and I have knack for trying to understand others. Easy to say my day consist of work, reading, and the gym. Nothing beats exercising physically, exercising mentally, and being good character through hard work.

Music, Movies, and Books

As I get older, I feel like the bands that stick with you through the ages are your favorites. Without further ado, I would say that the ones I can always listen to are Dir en grey, Radiohead, Coldplay, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Music ranging from metal all the way to ambient chillwave. It would be such a disaster to say I listen to all types of music, because in reality to convey the entirety of music to be defined by one simple/generic sentence would be an atrocity for people who mentally/physically need music to live.

For books, where to start... All books by Murakami, but my favorite, is After Dark. I love dreamy surrealist type of writing, such as Franz Kafka, or anything that makes you think and wonder beyond our own lives and souls. I like books that make you think about the collective, and ourselves in this picture we call "life."

Now with movies. I could write a book about my favorite movies and why. But I'll leave only one movie here as my absolute favorite of all time. Lost In Translation. Just something about being in another country and being lost sends such nostalgia emotional reverberation through me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to Japan.
Reached the peak of the Fox Temples in Kyoto.
Went rafting on some insane rapids that almost killed me.
Jumped off a large bridge several hundred feet away from the bottom in Philippines.
I'm a techy, I can fix, build, repair any computer.

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be impossible to write a list if characteristic that I have. More impossible for me to write such a list just based on me. I would feel biased, but I'm gonna leave this section blank, because as I couchsurf and travel, I hope the people who review can fill this section out.

Because in reality, I'm still trying to find out myself.
