About Me

I'm a retired consultant from Galileo. We provided the reservation system for airlines, rental car companies and hotels. I live in Cathedral City, a town next to Palm Springs CA, and have a cabin in the San Jacinto Mountains with my husband of 30+ years. We can host in both locations. We are unabashed nudists and naked whenever possible. We are most comfortable with hosts and guests who are the same. We are non-smoker and require the same for hosts or hosting.
We are gay nudist and will only host or stay with other male nudists. Please mention you are the same when requesting a stay. Knowing our story eliminates misunderstanding later!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being a retired fellow, this appears to be a great way to "see the world" and make friends with like interests along the way.

Interests

I love to travel and look forward to expanding my world. I am also an independent demonstrator for a paper crafting company. I have always loved crafting. It keeps me off the streets. ( Not really)

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical taste is fairly broad. Big band, country western, Broadway, some jazz, classical. Fav performers would be Josh Groban, Barbra Streisand, Linda Eder, Garth Brooks. Sondheim rocks! Favorite musicals are Wicked, Smash, Les Mis, Phantom, Sunset Boulevard, Funny Girl and Lady. We recently invested in the musical Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 starring Josh Groban. Opening night was exciting! See “One Amazing thing…” below. My favorite writer is Aron Sorkin, an American playwright, screenwriter and film director. (A Few Good Men, Newsroom, The West Wing, To Kill A Mocking Bird ( on Broadway))
My favorite movies would be First Wives Club. "Virgin Mary, Bloody Mary, vodka rocks" Devil Wears Prada, Being Julia, Galaxy Quest, Holiday Inn, Sunset Boulevard, Auntie Mame ( Rosalind Russel, not Lucy) All About Eve
I can't sit still long enough to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Cairo and Luxor and visited the Valley of the Kings! It was breathtaking to know the history I was in the midst of. I have also stood at the uppermost point of the ruins where King Richard the Lionheart was held captive in Durnstein, Austria.

In 2016 we invested in ‘Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812’ a musical on Broadway starring Josh Groban and Renee Denton. The Opening Night Party was at the Park Plaza and was worth every penny! We had the opportunity to attend the 2017 Tony Awards, but declined. The musical was nominated for 12 Tonys including Best Musical, Best Original Score for Dave Malloy, and Best Direction of a Musical for Rachel Chavkin, as well as nods for its two leads: Josh Groban and Denée Benton (both in their Broadway debuts). Denee Benton can be seen now in The Guilded Age on HBO.
