About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore Eastern Europe! Drink a new beer in every country I visit!

ABOUT ME

Vancouver native- foodie, craft beer lover. I love the outdoors, especially the mountains and the ocean.

Nothing makes me happier than meeting and eating with new friends, and CS is a great way to do that. I've been accused to looking grumpy from a distance, but I promise I'm quick to laugh and really easy going! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Always make the effort to experience all aspects of other cultures, even if you think it's a little weird or mundane at first. It's really easy to get caught up in our own way of doing things, but nothing is more fulfilling than experiencing and understanding someone else's way of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host right now (my couch is too short to comfortably sleep on), but I'm hoping to meet some great locals when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Completely new! I'm trying this for the first time at the suggestion of a few close friends who swear by it. I'm travelling alone this summer, and I hope CS will be a good way to meet some locals where I go.

Interests

When I'm not working I'm probably running, hiking, climbing a rock face, drinking craft beer, eating out with friends, or pursuing some of my nerdy pastimes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most memorable trip ever was in my own province: 3 of my siblings and I hiked the 75km+ West Coast trail on Vancouver Island in perfect weather. It's a difficult trek but completely worth the effort; perfectly untouched beaches, amazing river crossings, massive Douglas firs, and stellar sunsets every night at the campsite. We even found hints of a large pack of wolves travelling in front of us...
