About Me

I love to go to live music events and to read. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I much prefer to experience what locals experience. I am a big fan of historic houses and museums as well. It is common to see me in a costume for some event. I particularly love Steampunk Festivals and Renaissance Faires. My apartment is near Salem, MA, the Halloween capital of the world, so the entire month of October you will see me dressed up.

I teach computer literacy to 12-14 year-old students which can be challenging but also rewarding and creative.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing for a few reasons. The most important is that I love to meet new people and both show people around where I live and see where other people live. I have had great experiences in the past meeting people through Couchsurfing that friends of mine have hosted.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - alternative rock, reggae, goth, jazz, blues
Books - I read a LOT of mystery/suspense books. I also love science fiction and contemporary fiction. Sometimes I read memoirs and nonfiction books as well.
Movies/TV - Once again, I love mysteries. I enjoy the classics, drama, and comedies. I watch a lot of shows from other countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating in Burning Man in 2014 and in 2106 were both amazing experiences! So many interesting people and spaces!

Indoor skydiving was pretty cool. I have done it 2x and have no idea how some people can do acrobatics in there. I am lucky if I can not hit the edges.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very familiar with the North Shore and familiar with Boston, MA. If you like live music and historic places, I know the places to go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to go to museums and historic sites, to go out to eat, to take walks, hang out at local bars, etc. I am open to most activities, so if there is something you have wanted to try and it is not too expensive, I will probably be up to it. Talking about books and movies, TV shows is great, too. Many of the shows and movies I have seen are subtitled.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Serbia, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
